‘Twas a long and enduring first term,

hard fought battles have taken their tolls.

But one thing our President has learned

is that the truth leaves a lie exposed.

 

Four years of partisan obstruction

by the defenders of our nation’s greedy,

where one percent of total corruption

leads to a nation of poor and needy.

 

Whose cries fall on deafened ears

and those who hear have turned away.

We were ignored throughout the years

when there was much we had to say.

 

Where the rich only became richer

on the backs of those working in vain.

Prisoner’s to the man in the picture

on the money we work to gain.

 

How we prayed for a champion

a fighter for those who’re pushed aside,

to be our President and our companion,

elected by those who won’t keep quiet.

 

A living vessel of jurisprudence,

an advocate for my people and my kin.

Guardian of our future and our students,

a man of the people once again!
